Graham Ford must be into a bit of S&M. Otherwise we fail to see the appeal that the Sri Lankan coaching job offers. Uncle J – Jarrod Kimber for you new ones out there, tweeted at the time that if he was Ford he wouldn’t be getting a 12 month mobile plan.We suggested that there probably wouldn’t be a need for him to open a bank account either.
In his first interview Ford has gone the obvious route and said that his long term goal is to make SL the number 1 side. If that

Mahela Jayawardene is the captain of Sri Lanka. Again. This is generally viewed as a good thing. But there is a catch. He will only stick around in the job for a year. Of this, we are not sure about. In fact we do not agree with it at all.
That Sri Lanka needed a change of captaincy was never in doubt and by and large Mahela was the only reasonable choice that Sri Lanka had. Sangakkara was never in the running because , while he was an average leader, he showed no interest in ever being

I guess we all go through tough periods in our lives. Some say they literally feel the weight of the world. We’ve wondered about that. And told those people you couldn’t possibly feel it literally. Then they begin to argue and we just end up conceding, although it pains us deeply because we know that they are wrong deep down. Recently we’ve been feeling that a change needed to happen in our lives. We pondered about it for months on end. A lot of the people that we generally engage with also felt the same.

Greetings. We are back from our hiatus. Obviously.
Bigger (literally – thanks to Moms cooking) and hopefully with a few new tricks up our sleeves. There is plenty to get to. But all in good time. It is a little diffucult to keep up with the SL cricket news these days. Unconfirmed reports have filtered through to us that the Sri Lankan team cook has been sacked and will possibly be replaced by Dilhara Fernandos mom who is reputed to be an excellent cook of Kiri Bath and Sri Lankan curries.
In the meantime, we

Sri Lankans have finally found the Sri Lankan brand of cricket. No one gave them a chance against South Africa who dominated the 1st Test. They ended the winless streak in great fashion by recording one of the greatest Test wins in Sri Lankan history. This victory has certainly brought a breath of fresh air in times of hardship.
Who brought this breath of fresh air? Yes it was a team effort all right, but Dinesh Chandimal was special on his debut. He is somewhat different from the traditional SL cricketer. He brings energy and excitement to

Being a Sri Lankan cricket fan right now is a bit like being an alcoholic. A manic depressive. And Ted Bundy.
For the longest time, you deny that you even have a problem. You start with a couple of world cup final losses. A test match here and there. And before you know it you are knee deep in series losses. Improbable losses and just end up feeling ashamed.
You cry by yourself. You contemplate cutting yourself. You call up a sponsor and talk to him about supporting the new and young Australian side and
